Socialization SPTB Year 2014

To gain a better understanding of Tuberculosis (TB) disease and to identify ways to improve TB programs, in accordance with WHO Global standards, it is deemed necessary to undertake the Socialization and Pre Surveillance Prevalence Tubercolosis (SPTB) training in South Kalimantan.

 Located in the Central Bureau of South Kalimantan in February 2014, the Socialization and Pre Survey Prevalence Tubercolosis (SPTB) was officially opened by Dyan Pramono Effendi accompanied by Agnes Widyastuti (Social Statistic Head), Titik Munawaroh (BPS-Statistics Indonesia), and Dr. Yuana Wiryaman (Litbangkes RI).

 In the opening ceremony of SPTB training, Dyan said that SPTB is only done in 4 districts / cities namely, Banjarmasin, Banjar, Tanah Laut and Hulu Sungai Tengah. This survey will be done by KSK in February - March 2014 to be updated again. Therefore Dyan advised the officers to understand the concepts and definitions that will be conveyed both from BPS RI and Litbangkes RI. So the data collected is qualified and timely.

 In addition, according to Dr. Yuana that the general purpose of the implementation of SPTB is to determine the national prevalence rate of smear positive and bacteriological confirmed pulmonary TB for people aged 15 years and over. While Pre-survey is 1. Pre-survey socialization / briefing by central team to each province for each districts / cities: BPS / city (1 person), KSK (1 person) and Wasor kab / kota (1 Org) before the pre-survey. 2. One week before data collection, 2 staff of BPS in each cluster will conduct listing (pre-survey visit).

 Socialization / briefing teaches how to fill in the 2010 census data update and fill out the pre-survey questionnaire with the central BPS team and teach how / stickers attach the RT serial number.

While socialization of SPTB is to obtain the prevalence of bacteriological confirmed pulmonary TB in 3 different regions, compare some findings (symptom) from prevalence survey of 2004 and prevalence survey 2013. And learn between TB and environment and risk factor (socioeconomic status, ventilation density Or housing conditions, smoking, etc.), said Dr. Yuana.
