Integration of Susenas and Riskesdas Data

February 1, 2018 | BPS Activities

Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) in cooperation with the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) held a National Coordination Meeting (Rakornis) related to the Integration between National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) on Monday (30/1) at Hotel Santika Bekasi. Rakornis was attended by the Minister of Health, Nila Djuwita F. Moeloek, Deputy for Social Statistics M. Sairi Hasbullah, Head of BPS Provinces throughout Indonesia, Representatives from Bappenas, Ministry of Home Affairs, Head of Health Agency throughout Indonesia, Litbangkes Research Unit and mass media.

The purpose of this Rakornis is to realize the One Data program in the field of health. With the integration of Susenas and Sakernas, it is expected no more overlapping questions. Questions already asked in Susenas, will not be asked in Riskesdas, and vice versa. "With this integration, Indonesia is expected to have the most comprehensive health data among Asia-Pacific countries", Sairi said.

The implementation of Riskesdas field this year was conducted in April after the collection of Susenas data was completed in March 2018. Samples Riskesdas itself refers to the Susenas sample which also amounted to 300,000 households. Riskesdas trials have been conducted in Bogor District (7-10 September 2017), and Serang City (13-21 November 2017).
