Abstract

• In August 2018 South Kalimantan's NTP was recorded at 94.40 or up 0.40 percent compared to July 2018's NTP which reached 94.02. The increase in NTP was due to the price index paid by farmers (Ib) down 0.39 percent, while the price index received by farmers (It) did not change from July 2018.

• In August 2018 in the rural areas of South Kalimantan experienced a deflation of 0.57 percent, where the foodstuffs group price index fell by 1.67 percent, although other groups experienced increases ranging from 0.04 - 0.30 percent.

• South Kalimantan Agricultural Household Business Exchange (NTUP) August 2018 amounted to 102.58 or decreased by 0.18 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP of 102.76.

• The average price of unhulled rice quality (GKP) at the farm level drops 1.14 percent, from Rp 4,971.03 per Kg in July 2018 to Rp 4,914.33 per Kg in August 2018. Likewise the price of grain in the milling rate fell 1.23 percent from Rp. 5,070.58 per Kg in July 2018 to Rp. 5,008.05 per Kg in August 2018.
