Data Collection of UMK and UMB SE2016

As mandated by Law No. 16 of 1997 on Statistics, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) is obliged to carry out the Economic Census (SE) activity in the year ending in number six. To date, BPS has implemented the mandate of the Act and has implemented the Economic Census in 1986, 1996, and 2006. The Economic Census conducted by BPS in 2016 is the fourth Economic Census activity.

The 2016 Economic Census Activity (SE2016) is implemented in stages, starting from planning and preparation activities in 2014, to the presentation and dissemination of results in 2018. In 2016, BPS has conducted the Economic Census Listing in 2016, shortened to Listing SE2016. While the continuation of SE2016 activities conducted in 2017 is Data Collection of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Economic Census in 2016 or hereinafter referred to as Data Collection of UMK and UMB SE2016.

With the implementation of UMK and UMB SE2016 Data Collection activities are expected to produce detailed data of Small and Medium Enterprises / Small and Medium Enterprises as the basis for the formulation of various policies and analysis in macro and micro. In addition, the results of data collection of UMK and UMB SE2016 are also used as benchmarking and databases for various further surveys in the economic field.
