The Sample Area Framework 2018

The Sample Area Framework (KSA) is defined as a sampling approach that uses the land area as the enumeration unit. This system is based on geographic information system (GIS) technology, remote sensing, information technology, and statistics which is currently being implemented in Indonesia for the acquisition of data and information on food crop agriculture. The KSA approach is expected to respond to the provision of accurate and timely data and information to support the planning of the National Food Security Program.

Implementation of this KSA activity can be realized as a result of cooperation between the Central Bureau of Statistics, and the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology. Statistical unit (statistical unit) targeted activities to the District level, while the object of agricultural commodities of food crops is rice. Nevertheless it is still possible for expanded forward development for other food crop commodities.

KSA activities are held on the last 7 days of each month during 2018.
