Abstract

• In February 2019, Deflation occurred in Kota Banjarmasin by 0.07 percent. The inflation rate for the 2019 calendar (February 2019 against December 2018) is 0.74 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" is 3.24 percent. Commodities which experienced price declines with the highest share of deflation in Banjarmasin City include air transportation, puffed / puffed fish, shallots, gasoline, broiler eggs.
• In Tanjung City, in February 2019 there was a deflation of 0.67 percent. The inflation rate for the 2019 calendar (February 2019 against December 2018) inflation was 0.08 percent and the inflation rate of "year on year" was 2.45 percent. Commodities that have decreased in price with the highest share of deflation in Tanjung City include: chicken meat, shallots, chicken eggs, cellular phones, gasoline.

• Out of 82 cities that calculate the consumer price index, there were 13 cities experiencing inflation, 69 cities experiencing deflation. The highest inflation in the city of Tual was 2.98 percent, and the lowest was in the city of Kendari by 0.03 percent. The highest deflation was in Merauke city at 2.11 percent, and the lowest in Serang city at 0.02
