Achieve Bureaucracy Reform through Improving Data Quality and Excellent Service

Achieve Bureaucracy Reform through Improving Data Quality and Excellent Service

March 6, 2014 | Other Activities

Bureaucratic Reform Demands BPS is presenting quality data, improving excellent service, creating good governance and clean government.

To achieve these demands, all BPS leaders in the regions need to conduct Regional Technical Meeting (Ratekda) Head of BPS-Statistics of Districts / Cities of 2014 in South Kalimantan, in an effort to equalize the vision and step in the effort to realize bureaucratic reform through improving data quality and excellent service.

Ratekda held at Hotel Aria Banjarmasin, 24-27 February 2014 with theme "With Bureaucratic Reform We Improve Quality of Data and Excellent Service" officially opened by M. Ari Nugraha (Director of Statistics Dissemination BPS RI).

In remarks by the Head of BPS RI read by Ari Nugraha, in front of 118 Ratekda participants in South Kalimantan Province, Ari Nugraha said that in 2014 we still have a lot of homework related to Bureaucratic Reform (RB) that we must achieve. To improve the achievement of BPS's bureaucratic reforms, we must change the mindset of the business-as-usual pattern to be out-of-the-box, creative, and innovative in completing each job so that it can be completed more effectively, efficiently, with higher quality output . We are also obligated to change the work culture that is still perceived to be less in a better, more disciplined, and more productive direction.

In 2014 there are three focuses of RB activities that we must run, namely improving the quality of public services, reorganizing the management of statistical activities, and improving the quality of human resources. To ensure the successful implementation of these three activities, our commitment, all BPS's lineup, is no exception, to work cleanly, free from corrupt practices.

As a real effort by BPS to be free from corruption, on February 10, 2014, a BPS Integration Zone Development was launched. This good achievement should be immediately followed up to create BPS Satker predefined Corruption Free Territory (WBK) and Clean Bureaucracy and Serve Area (WBBM).

At the end of his speech, Ari Nugraha said that the Ratekda event does not lose the essence of its implementation and can be implemented well, effectively and efficiently, resulting in beneficial output for BPS development in the short, medium, and long term.

At the end of the Ratekda event, Dyan Pramono Effendi and M. Ari Nugraha awarded the Best Performance Award Performance Award in 2013 to the Head of the Regency / City BPS, cation / sub-head of the regency / municipality BPS in the form of Certificates and gifts as a form of acknowledgment for the achievement of work in 2013,
