Abstract

South Kalimantan export value in February 2013 was U.S. $ 892.33 million, up 12.23 percent compared to exports in January 2013, which reached U.S. $ 795.08 million, up 9.33 percent compared with the value of exports in February 2012, which reached U.S. $ 816, 19 million.

The main contributor to the largest export commodity in South Kalimantan in February 2013 based on the code of the Harmonized System (HS) is a two digit commodity group mineral fuels (HS 27) with a value of U.S. $ 722.56 million, the goods fats & oils animal / vegetable (HS 15) with value of U.S. $ 119.43 million and the ore, crust and metal (HS 26) with a value of U.S. $ 23.88 million.

The main countries of export destination in South Kalimantan in January 2013 was to China with U.S. $ 329.52 million, India with U.S. $ 184.32 million, and Japan with U.S. $ 172.98 million.

The value of imports of South Kalimantan in February 2013 amounted to U.S. $ 257.47 million, down 41.59 per cent when compared with the value of imports in January 2013, which reached U.S. $ 440.77 million, whereas when compared with the value of imports in February 2012 decreased by 19, 17 percent of the time it was valued at U.S. $ 318.52 million.

The main commodities imported biggest South Kalimantan in February 2013 based on the code of the Harmonized System (HS) 2 digit commodity group consists of mineral fuels (HS 27) with a value of U.S. $ 234.24 million, the mechanical mesin-mesin/peralatan (HS 84) with a value of U.S. $ 8.99 million and the vehicles and parts thereof (HS 87) with a value of U.S. $ 6.79 million.

Major countries suppliers of imported products in South Kalimantan is from Singapore in February 2013 with a value of U.S. $ 104.05 million, Korea with U.S. $ 81.30 million and Malaysia with U.S. $ 53.79 million.
